ADS1263EVM-PDK: ADS1263EVM-PDK It doesn't work

Part Number: ADS1263EVM-PDK

Tool/software:

ADS1263V2EVM-PDK Issue Report (1).pdf

I have already followed the procedure in the document, but it did not work, so I am inquiring.
We mentioned the relevant procedures in the report we previously delivered, and also noted the parts that did not work.

As shown in the photo in the report we provided, this is the ADS1263V2EVM-PDK version.
I understand that you have received the latest version of EVM. Please recheck.

  • Hi Soy Kang,

Can you provide us the following information / perform the following actions:

    1. After you start the GUI, do the LEDs on the PHI stay lit up? Or do they turn off? If the LEDs turn off, try using a shorter USB cable, and ensure that you are plugging the USB cable directly into your computer. In other words, do not connect through a USB hub
    2. When plugging in the USB cable, you should see the Device Manager window refresh (to indicate that a new device was connected). Then you should see the PHI enumerate under the "Sensors" category as shown below
    3. If the device is not showing up in device manager as shown below, then perhaps it needs to be reinstalled or manually installed. You will need to identify or find the device in the list and associate it with the PHI Driver that will be located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADS126x EVM\PHI Driver\

  • okay, thank you Let me check it out

  • HI, Bryan

I tried as you said, but it doesn't work.

    1. A USB hub is not used, and the LED in the communication section does not light when the USB cable is connected. I used the enclosed cable.
    2. Even if the USB is connected, no additional devices are created in the device manager. (As shown in the picture, the “Sensor” category is not created at all).
3.I manually installed the driver and reinstalled the program several times through the path you provided, but the problem is the same.
Based on your opinion, it appears to be a hardware problem. I've already checked it on several PCs, but it's the same issue. We request prompt processing.

There are a lot of delays because the problem cannot be resolved. Please exchange the product.

  • Hi Soy Kang,

Thanks for clarifying that the LEDs on the PHI are never turning on. This probably means something happened to the board.

You can request a new board through our customer support center (CSC): https://www.ti.com/info/customer-support.html

Please use this thread to communicate to CSC that we have authorized you to receive one (1x) ADS1263V2EVM-PDK as a goodwill exchange. Be prepared to return the non-working PDK (EVM + PHI board) back to TI as well.

Please also note that all of our boards are tested before leaving the manufacturer, and therefore are all in good working order. I am not sure what happened in this case, but please make sure to follow proper ESD procedures when handling the new EVM to ensure that the boards work when you receive them.

  • HI Bryan lizon
Even though I shared the board exchange details, is it being processed because I haven't been notified of the details afterward?

  • Hi Soy Kang,

I don't have any visibility into the CSC department's actions, you will have to reach out to them for more information
