I am currently working on designing a circuit using the ADS114S08 for measuring temperature with four 3-wire RTD configurations.
Our system consists of one SAMD21E17A MCU and two ADS114S08B ADCs. Each ADS114S08B is used to measure two 3-wire RTDs. When one ADS114S08B has only one RTD sensor connected to the corresponding input channel while the other input channel remains unconnected and floating, the ADC readings of the unconnected channel are unpredictable and fluctuate. This issue has been cross-tested with the same results.
