Tool/software:
Hi all,
I am interested in using the TPSM82902 in one of my designs.
In the datasheet it is stated that TPSM82902 is a MicroSIP converter Module.
In this video (https://www.ti.com/video/5401423991001) an overview of the construction of the power module is given. According to this, a MicroSIP(BGA format) will include the capacitors and a MicroSIL(QFN format) will include the inductor.
When reading the datasheet of the TPSM82902 even further and looking into its drawings, package description, and 3D model it seems that TPSM82902 is a MicroSIL and not a MicroSIP.
Is this correct or am I missing something?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Kosta Kotsis
Hi Kosta,
MicroSIP(BGA format) and MicroSIL(QFN format) are both belong to MicroSIP family.
Thanks,
Colin
