ADC12DJ5200RFEVM: ADC GUI script for ADC12DJ5200RFEVM

Part Number: ADC12DJ5200RFEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSW14J57EVM, ADC12DJ5200RF

Tool/software:

Dear Technical Support Team,

ADC12DJ5200RFEVM has GUI (ADC12DJxx00RF EVM GUI v1.3).

Userguide has "3.9 Open the ADC12DJ5200RFEVM/SEEVM GUI and Program the ADC and Clocks" for ADC GUI.

But it is complicated to set this everytime.

If you provide script file, could you share it? It seems to be set script via "Load Config Script".

  • Ttd,

Please advise to go to low level tab and export a configuration file. Then load the configuration file from the same low level tab instead of resetting the UI options each time. As far as I know this script option has not been FULLY tested so it may not work.

  • Hi Chase W,

    Thank you for your reply.

There is a file named "ReferenceInputCalculation". Is this file you mentioned?

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADCxxDJxx00RF EVM GUI\Python Scripts\Config Scripts

I have been tried to evaluate with TSW14J58 + ADC12DJ5200RFEVM.

If you set GUI correctly(ADC works well) , could you sent your script "Save Page as Script" , if possible?

    Best Regards,

    ttd

  • TTD,

As Chase indicated the script feature doesn't work. Please use his advice of exporting and importing the configuration file.

    Regards,

    Rob

  • Hi Chase W and Rob,

    Thnak you for your reply.

3.11 Open the HSDC Software and Load the FPGA Image to the TSW14J57EVM

I do not see the popup to confirm the TSW board serial number in the above step.
Also, I cannot get the parts number of the ADC board.

Please let me know how to solve this problem.

  • Hi TTD,

Not sure, I follow what your end goal is here.

In order to configure the ADC, you need to use the ADC GUI.

Then to capture the data, using HSDCPro.

Both SW programs need to be used in this setup as shown in the ADC12DJ5200RF EVM user guide.

    Rob

  • Hi Rob,

I refer to ADC User Guide at "3 Setup Procedure".

This step is ther ADC GUI settings at first, secondary TSW GUI setting.

However HSDC Pro v5.31 seems to be freeze like this attached image when open it on windows 10 64bit on "3.11 Open the HSDC Software and Load the FPGA Image to the TSW14J57EVM". I can't proceed next steps.

  • Hi Rob,

HSDC Pro v5.31 shows a following error when zoom in the message.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Status:×

Invoke Node in TSW1400.lvlib:Startup Splash Screen.vi

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I downloaded v6.0 installer "High Speed Data Converter Pro - Installer v6.0.exe" on Jan this year.

But there is no file on current TI web(only v5.31).

Can I use v6.0. If it has problem and no recommendation, please let me know.

  • ttd,

what language is the OS on the pc set to? I've seen weird issues with labview based programs installation when the language is not set to english.

    Chase

  • Hi Chase,

Thank you for your reply. My OS language is Japanese. Should I unistall the labview ? Do you have a step to unistall the labview ?

I can't find the installed application on windows.

    I find following E2E post.

TSW14J57EVM: Preliminary version PRO GUI 5.30 - Data converters forum - Data converters - TI E2E support forums

    Should I do follwing step?

    Step 1:

    Uninstall HSDC Pro v5.30

    Step 2:

    Download LabVIEW 2019 Runtime Engine(RTE)

Here is the link for LabVIEW 2019 64Bit Runtime Engine(RTE),

    https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-runtime.html#301740

After the download is complete, run the downloaded executable file to launch NI Package Manager and install the software.

    Step 3:

    Reinstall HSDC Pro v5.31

  • Hi ttd,

I think it is worth trying to uninstall and then reinstall, yes. I'm not sure how to specify any english specific install however. I think the OS language determines this. Is it possible to try on a separate PC which you can set the language to PC for? I don't know what changing the language on your main PC will do and because of this, I don't want to suggest you to do it on your primary PC for obvious reasons. If you have a second PC or laptop you can try this on, I would highly suggest this.

    Thanks, Chase
