AFE5808A: AFE5808 CAT Pin Gain Amplification Inquiry

How do you plan to vary this vcntl signal ? 

Few  things to consider here

1) Noise on this path should be reduced as it will come as multiplicative noise in the signal chain

2) How fast you need to vary the vcntl signal ? 

So connecting direct power resource is not a good idea as noise can be higher and response time of power supply to change the voltage can be higher .

If you reduce the noise in this node then there is no issue using power supply as vcontrol(VCNTLP/M) signal .
