Hello Atul,
We have observed that on certain machines, the GUI will not work for lower COM ports. When the GUI and the USB drivers are installed correctly and the Device Manager shows the AFE44x0SPO2EVM recognized as a virtual COM port, but the GUI cannot establish communication to the AFE44x0SPO2EVM and shows the Device Communication Error, change the COM port to a higher number (greater than 25).
Also FYI we have released a newer version of the AFE44x0SPO2EVM GUI.
Check it out at http://www.ti.com/tool/afe4400spo2evm#Technical Documents
Regards.
I tested higher com port numbers and it is not working yet.
Can anyone get this fix please? It was tested in three different computers, with windows 7, and it does show the same connection issue in all three. Antivirus and all the suggestions regarding rootkit issues were tested and none of the antivirus found anything wrong.
Is there any other way to get the AFE4400SPO2EVM to work?
Regards
D
