Bit resolution difference between ADS1192 QFN and QFP packages?

In the second page in the data sheet, it is shown that ADC bit resolution for ADS1192 is different based on the packaging. ie. 16 bit for TQFP and 24 bit for QFN packaging. But in other parts of the datasheet, the bit resolution is always mentioned as 16 bit (Page 1, page 3, Page 25) etc. Can I confirm that QFN package has 24 bit resolution as mentioned in page 2?

Hey John,

That's almost certainly a mistake in the datasheet. Any ADS119x device will have 16-bit resolution and the ADS129x devices will have 24-bit resolution. The mistake has been duly noted and will be rectified with the subsequent revision.

is the only difference between ADS1192 and ADS1292 is the resolution? Can I ADS1292 be drop in replacement for ADS1192 in the schematic/layout?

Hey John,

Comparing the respective pinouts side by side, the only difference is the RESP_MOD pins are swapped for IN3 pins on the ADS1192, but if you do not have the ADS1292R, those pins do not function anyway. You should be fine making the pin compatible swap.
