Hello,

I am using spartan 6 sp601 evaluation kit along with the FMC-ADC adapter(http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/fmc-adc-adapter.html)
and ADS5282EVM(http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/ads5282evm.html) from texas instruments.
i would like to write a vhdl code to control the LVDS DDR outputs provided from the ADS5282EVM to spartan 6 FMC pins.
I am really confused about implementing the ddr logic in my custom ip..
i connected my custom ip to a IPIF FIFO but seems that i missed data...
Recently i read the xapp1064...Should i follow this way describing there in my design with FMC connector?
Xapp 866 and 774 i thing that does not help when using the FMC pins...Am i right?
Is anywhere a sample code in vhdl that capture LVDS DDR outputs ..
I am using EDK 11.5...

Neither one of those things are Texas Instruments products. We would not have Xilinx code for that.

Hi Richard,

I was wondering if I might also be able to get the code (LVDS/Verilog/) for the TSW1200? For my project, I'm using the ADS5562 with the ADS5562EVM and currently to look for some start-up code to accelerate this project and communicate with the ADC. I'll have to reverse understand but hopefully will be a good starting point (or do you have something else that you can recommend?). Thank you in advance.

Hi,

if you would provide an email address then I can send it. I'm glad you mentioned the device type and EVM you wish to use, because the type of device at the start of the posting you are replying to uses a serialized data format on a single LVDS pair, while the device type you are using has a parallel bus of LVDS data. The TSW1200 had two separate bit files in the eeprom for it, one for serialized data and the other for parallel bus data. So at least I know which one to send if you provide an email address. (for other readers - it would be better to start a fresh posting asking for something like this than reply to an older post that might have a different context.)

in the meantime, attached is a sketch showing how the data interface was handled in the FPGA on the TSW1200. The input cells IDDR were used to latch the data on the rising and falling edges of the clock, and the Xilinx cells IDELAY were used to move the data or clock signals around in time to meet the setup/hold time of the data into the IDDR cells.
