ADS62P24EVM REV.B and TSW1400

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS62P24

Hi,I have several questions about ADS62P24EVM and TSW1400

1.I bought ADS62P24 EVM   from mouser electronics, but I found the version is B  while TI's website display VERSION C,I didn't find the datasheet about REV.B till now,is version B still be supported? The discription of version C in datasheet is total different from Version B!    In the picture below,I marked 3 points which are different from VERSION C.

2.Can ADS62P24EVM REV.B be captured by TSW1400 in CMOS mode?

3.In the CMOS mode, I need remove the R package of RN7 RN8 RN9 RN10,and replace them with SN74AVC16244DGGR according the datasheet, but I found the package of SN74AVC16244DGGR does not compatible with the PCB footprint: there are 16 pins on one side of PCB wihle 24 pins on oneside of SN74AVC16244DGGR, is there any solution?

  • Jian,

Sorry about this issue you are having. I am looking into this. It appears that Mouser may have old boards still in their inventory.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Jian,

It appears Mouser is stocking an older version of this EVM. Please send me your address and a phone contact number and we will ship you a new EVM (Rev E) free of charge ASAP.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Jian,

I ordered two boards myself and also got Rev B boards. It appears this version had an error with the footprint for these two buffers. Since most customers use this board in LVDS mode and the board ships with these parts removed, the problem was not found immediately. I am searching for a new version of this board and will let you know if I find one. Is there a reason you cannot use this in LVDS mode?

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Hi Jim,

The LVDS model of these board is OK with TSW1400EVM,

but,I also want to verify the utility of  CMOS mode of  TSW1400 , so I need  an EVM board with CMOS mode, but it seems that ADS62P24EVM REV.B does not support it.

    Thanks for you help.

  • Jian,

Almost all of our EVM's that support both LVDS and CMOS outputs ship in the LVDS configuration by default. What application is this for? On your board, if you have the right equipment, you could easily remove the R-packs, and solder across the pads of the un-populated IC and run the board in CMOS mode.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Jim,

I made a mistake of the number of pin ,there are 24 pins on one side of the pcb footprint,I'm very sorry about that.

Recently We  build a rf system with our own soc chip, while the ADC is CMOS output,so I want to use the cmos mode of TSW1400 to capture the data, and before do that I need to verify the CMOS utility of TSW1400, and that is the application

I will replace the R package with SN74AVC16244DGGR ,but there is no valid datasheet for this board, would you supply me that or a new version board?

  • Jian,

We do not make data sheets for boards. We do have schematics, which I am attaching.

    Regards,

    Jim

  • Jim,

Thanks for the schematic, and is there any specification of the spi control,is that the same as REV.C?

  • The SPI control should be the same.
