TSW14J56EVM: TSW14J56 + TSW38J84 trigger output

Hi,

I am using a TSW14J56EVM revB and a TSW38J84EVM revB.

I need to have a cyclic trigger every time the signal restarts from the beginning.

Can you let me know the best way to do it with these board versions?

Is the SYSREF signal a good option?

I am afraid that one is only triggered once, the first time the signal is dumped.

Andre,

You should be able to get a trigger signal out of the TSW14J56EVM from one of the TRIG OUT A, B, or C SMA connectors (J7, J8 or J12). There should be a pulse present every time the test pattern starts a new cycle.

But as I wold you I have the TSW14J56 PCB REVB, which does not present the outputs you are referring.

Can you please help me to solve the trigger problem in the TSW14J56 REVB?

If we send you the source code, would you be able to modify it to target the spare SMA on the board to be used as a trigger output? Our resources are limited and we may not be able to do this as we no longer support this revision of the board.

I was informed you can use the trigger feature with the TSW14J56 Rev B if you follow the instructions in the attached document.

I just want to clarify something before doing the board modifications.

As I referred, I want to use trigger out and not trigger in.

I want to generate a trigger every time the data sequence is repeated.

Will that be possible?
