ADS5263EVM: Can it sample low frequency input signal from DC to 1 Mhz?

Part Number: ADS5263EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5263

Hi

I have read the user guide of this evm board and also the datasheet of  ADS5263.

I found the evm board provide two ac-coupled drivers for ADC.

One is transformer based and another one is an amplifier with a bandpass filter.  Can I bypass the bandpass filter of the driver to get an input band start from DC?

And the datasheet of ADS5263 said it has a Low-Frequency Noise Suppression Mode, can I disable the mode to ensure my low-frequency input signal to be sampled by the ADC?

Thanks!

Zhuang

  • Hi Zhuang,

Can you shed some insight into your application? Any particular reason to pick this ADC...
With the noise suppression mode disabled, 1/f noise is high around DC to 1MHz.
We think ADS5263 may not be the right fit to sample the low frequency input signals.
  • Hi Praveen

Thanks for your reply. For my application, it requires sampling a signal which has a low-frequency component around 60Hz and also high-frequency components from 200KHz to 1MHz. I want to choose a fast ADC to sample this signal as accurate as possible and also can be connected to FPGA by HSMC or GPIO connector.

    Thanks

    Zhuang
