ADC32J44: How to wire up unused SYNC pins

Hello.

I am not using the SYNC pins (42 and 43) in my application, as I am using the SYSREF+/- inputs instead.

If the SYNC pins are not used, should I float the pins, or tie SYNC+ to DVDD and SYNC- to GND?

This is a JESD204B based device and you have to use SYNC to get the link established. There is no way around this. See the attached document for an overview of this standard.

Hi Brian.

Thank you for the presentation and for highlighting the need for the SYNC signal.

I had thought that SYNC was optional for JESD204B subclass 1, so I nearly made quite an error...

I will wire the SYNC signal up on my board.
