I have two set of LMP92066EVM with USB2ANY board. One of them is have some problem.

When I tried to use one USB2ANY as a standalone device, the software, USB2ANY Explorer-2.8.2.0 , displayed error message and asked me to upgrade its firmware. After I upgraded its firmware, the USB2ANY module can be detected and all functions, DAC, SPI and I2C are working now.

But, this USB2ANY cannot work with my LMP92066 device anymore. When I connect it back to LMP92066 amd run LMP92066 GUI software, it always shows that I2C devices not found, and the green LED on USB2ANY module is off.

I have verified that my LMP92066EVM is good if I use a new USB2ANY module removed from another working LMP92066EVM.

Can you tell me how I can load the original firmware back to my USB2ANY? Do you have any firmware can support both LMP92066EVM and standalone SPI, I2C, DAC and ADC device?

I have tried all these steps using two Windows 7 computers and reboot more than once, but the error message is still there.

Hi Xing,

I am not sure which version of the firmware the USB2ANY explorer uses. I have sent you a message to connect and we can see if I can send you a new USB2ANY.

Hi Xing,

The USB2ANY firmware and DLL must be the same version. Becuase you update the firmware, if GUI uses the different version DLL, GUI doesn't work anymore. Can you make sure GUI use the same DLL as explorer uses? You can check if the GUI directory contains USB2ANY.dll, if GUI.exe and usb2any.dll are in the same directory, GUI uses dll in the same directory, which may be older version. You sholud replace it with new version dll.

Hi Xing,

I tried Bing's steps, and unfortunately they will not work on this GUI. Please download and exact the zip file attached to this post.

USB2ANY FirmwareUpgradeUtility 1.18.zip

Once the files are extracted, run the firmware update utility and direct it to the firmware (.txt file) in the same directory. Us a paperclip or pen tip to hold down the small button next to the USB2ANY's USB port. Holding the button down, plug in the USB port, then release the button. Now the 'Upgrade' button will be enabled. Go ahead and update the firmware.

This will downgrade the firmware to version 1.18, which is compatible with the LMP92066 software. This was one of the first EVMs to use the USB2ANY platform, and as you can see, there are some backwards compatibility issues!
