FDC1004QEVM: Missing driver for Windows 7 64 Bit

I have this exact same problem but in Win 7 64 bit. (see title FDC1004QEVM: Missing driver for Windows 8.1 64 Bit). I installed following your document line by line. It installed fine. But when I connect, the device is displayed under "Other devices" as "MSP430 -USB example" with an yellow exclamation sign.

When I open gui, it always shown red dot "not connected".

Hi Vijay,

Have you tried rebooting your computer after the driver installation and running the GUI in compatibility mode? Unfortunately, the GUI is a bit sensitive to the installation process.

I had to manually locate the installed files from C folder so the computer can recognize the device. Apparently the device cant locate the drivers and install automatically.

GUI once in a while doesnt recognoze the device even now. It seems very sensitive to something. Is there something I can do to lower this sensitivity?

Hi Vijay,

If the GUI is only intermittently not recognizing the device, I would suggest changing your USB cable. Also note that the EVM should be connected directly to your computer, not to a dock.
