ADS1299: ADS1299 Design Issue

Part Number: ADS1299

Whether the 38 pin of the ADS1299 must be connected to the MCU?

The two modes of operation are mentioned in ADS1299 43pin,Whether use CS, SCLK, DIN and DOUT can be implemented,How to implement it?

  • Hello Selina,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum!

PIN38 is the START pin and should be tied to the MCU if you wish to control the devices operation with the MCU. If you would simply like to always have the device be active, then you could to tie the START pin to DVDD. I would recommend using the MCU to control PIN38.

PIN43 is the DOUT pin. There is continuous or single shot mode for reading data from the device and these modes are discussed in length in the datasheet. CS, SCLK, DIN and DOUT will all be tied to the MCU. Do you have specific questions in regards to these pins?
