CCS/PGA970EVM: Impossible to load the code example "a data verification error occurred, file load failed."

For information, we are running CSS 7 and we have installed the ti arm 5.2.6 compiler to match with the version with which the project you provide was initially compiled with.

The generic firmware release should have come with a pre-generated hex file. Can you please try loading that hex file first to see if that one works?

Also, please check that you have included the post-build step in the project settings. It is located in the project properties here in CCSv8:

We have the same issue with the .hex file coming with the firmware.

What could it be then ? XDS200 issue ?

We tried using the usb2any connector with the PGA GUI and it works so it's not the board.

We did some digging, tried uninstalling everything and reinstalled css v8 + compiler 5.2.6, no more luck.

Doubt it's the xds200 probe as the connection test to target works.

Can you please upload the target configuration file you are using? When you run the "Test Connection" does it complete successfully?

Sorry for the late reply, I was on holidays.

Find attached the configuration file. We already had that guide and followed it.

We have tried with another XDS200 probe to check if it was not coming from the probe, no change.

Hope we can figure out the issue, this is starting to be a blocking point for our project.

A small addition to my previous message, we have tried to connect to the target and avoid the load of the software in order just to try to access the memory of the chip through the memory browser (just to try).

We weren't able to, we only saw ???? and got the following message in the console:
Cortex_M0_0: Error: (Error -614 @ 0x0) The target indicates there is an error condition from a previous SWD request. Clear the error the condition, and try the SWD request again. (Emulation package 8.0.27.9)

I have not been able to replicate this error on my setup so far. Can you please run the "Test Connection" test for the XDS200 in the target configuration file setup and post the log that it generates?

Also, can you please try loading the hex file you generated into the FRAM using the GUI as opposed to the XDS200? This will help determine if there is a problem with your PGA970 device or with the communication through the debug port.
