I have to use AFE5809 IC for a sonar like design .  Can I achieve my functions  with TGC path including LNA, VCAT ,PGA, LPF,ADC ,DEIMATION FILTER  alone - ? In that case how i can synchronize multiple devices if i wanted to cater more than 8 channels?

    Hi Vasanth,

    Please refer to the application section in the AFE5809 datasheet specifically section 9.2.2.5 for synchronizing multiple devices.
    Additionally refer to the application note for using the AFE5809 design guide for Sonar applications.

    OK. I have one more query .Does AFE5809 supports 100khz and 200 khz ,frequency operations.? In most of the the
    characteristic graphs frequency is varied from 500KHZ and above. Also the test signal is taken as 5MHZ. . For LF sonar like applications wt 100 and 2000khz freq can u provide any parametric evaluation reports like the sensitivity of receiver ,maximum gain support ,and cut off freq of filters etc? We are planning to use it for 100 and 200khz range . If you have any reference design of this IC for the ,mentioned freq can u just provide link?

    Yes, Idealy 5809 is Capable of Measuring SONAR signals from 30 kHz to 32.5 MHz, but some attentions should be paied to the input decoupling capacitors, you can turn to TIDU702.
