ADC12DJ3200: Decimation and Sample alignment

What do I need to do to ensure alignment through decimation for multiple devices? I am expecting that if I do automatic SYSREF capturing, I should have data aligned through decimation on the output of all devices that share a sample clock.

ADC12DJ3200 datasheet section 7.3.5.1.6 NCO Phase Synchronization addresses the additional requirements of initializing the NCO phase.
The two basic methods are through use of SYNC or SYSREF.
