Hi,

I found the ADC IP3 discussion in TI appnote 'Calculating noise figure and third-order intercept in ADCs'. However, some other sources say that 'the concept of third order intercept point is not valid for an ADC, because the distortion products do not vary in a predictable manner'. I wonder which one is correct.

If the latter one is true, that is, IP3 is not a valid spec for ADC, then how is the cascaded IIP3 for a receiver system evaluated with ADC included? Is there something like 'equivalent IP3' for ADC?
