  Any body can tell me, Can we use ADS1258IPHPREP for temperature measurement using RTD and Thermistors.

    Hi Mashesha,

    I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the ADS1258 for RTD or thermo-couple measurements. If you have multiple sensors to measure, the auto-scanning MUX might come in handy. Also, the ADS1258 allows for an external reference input, so the RTD measurements can be ratiometric.

    The main inconveniences would be the need for an external amplifier and current source. If all of your sensors are of a similar type, then you likely wouldn't need to provide too many programmable gains or current amplitudes to excite the RTDs. However, if you needed more configurability then probably something like the ADS124S08 would be a better off-the-shelf solution.
