ADS52J90: HMC-DAQ GUI error 1003

Part Number: ADS52J90

Hi,

I get the following error when trying to run the HMC-DAQ GUI software:

I have seen other forum posts about this so obviously a common problem, but I have tried all the suggestions that I have seen, and still can't get anywhere.

I am running Windows 10

I have tried running the HMC-DAQ program in administrator mode

The program is installed in the default directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\HMC-DAQ GUI

There do not appear to be any files missing in the folder, see screenshot:

The .NET Framework 3.5 appears to be installed:

When installing, the following things did not install:

NI Variable Engine (higher version already installed)
DataSocket (higher version already installed)
USI (higher version already installed)

Possibly because I also have TI's High Speed Data Converter Pro installed - could this cause a conflict (presumably not since both pieces of software need to be used to evaluate your hardware!)

What else do I need to do to make this software work?

Thanks

Henry

  • Hi,

Before you  run the HMC-DAQ GUI software,

have you installed HMC-DAQ GUI successfully?

If the installation is working fine on your PC,

    then you need to:

    1) First, run High Speed Data Converter Pro GUI  (HSDC Pro GUI) successfully.

Make sure this one is working first.

    2) After that, then you can run HMC-DAQ GUI.

(sometimes HSDC Pro GUI will automatically runs HMC-DAQ GUI by itself.)

    Do you follow these sequences?

Could you please let us know?

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Chen

  • Hi Chen,

As I said in the first message, the installation completed successfully, apart from the labbview runtime engine which said it had a higher version already installed as shown in the picture:

I have tried running HSDC Pro first (which has always worked fine) and then HMC-DAQ, but it still gives the same error.

    Thanks

    Henry

  • Hi,

If you can and if possible, could you please:

    1. Uninstall your HSDC Pro GUI first from your PC (if it can be allowed).

    2. Uninstall your HMC-DAQ GUI from your PC.

    3. Please reinstall HMC-DAQ v2.8 GUI

(if you need, you can download it from TI website)

4.Please download and then install HSDC Pro v5.00

(Please download this version from TI Website as below first)

High Speed Data Converter Pro GUI Installer, v5.00 (Rev. U)

    5. after both downloads and installations are done,

please run HSDC Pro first and then run HMC-DAQ GUI after that.

Hope everything can work for you.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Chen

  • Hi Chen,

I've followed the steps suggested above, unfortunately I still get the same message during installation:

And the same error when running HMC-DAQ GUI:

  • Hi,

Looks like your installation (for HMC-DAQ software) is not successful,

and your HSDC Pro software installation is fine.

    right?

Could you please let us know?

If true, then when you are running HMC-DAQ GUI and got error message

then it is very possible to see other error message.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Chen

  • Hi,

Also before you are doing these requested,

could you please turn-off your PC and then turn it back on after that?

and also when you have done all the installations,

could you also please turn-off your PC and then turn it back on after that?

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Chen
