ADS1018-Q1: Questions

Part Number: ADS1018-Q1

Hi Team,

My customer has a couple questions on the ADS1018-Q1 that aren't quite clear from the datasheet. It would be great if you could help us understand the following:

  • What’s the internal reference voltage?  2.048V ?
  • What are actual PGA amplification settings?  G = 0.1, 1, 10 (V/V)?

Thanks,
Mitchell

  • Mitchell,

A similar question about this came in recently, and I'll just point you to the post. In short the reference voltage is small. If it helps you can think of it as 1.024V. The amplification is achieved through scaling the sampling capacitance for the ADC. Again a longer explanation is shown in the following post:

Hopefully, the post gives a good explanation. If you have any further questions about this device, please post back.
