ADS1292ECG-FE: Having difficulty in installing the usb-driver to windows 10 pc

Part Number: ADS1292ECG-FE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1292

Hi! I am trying to install the ads1292 pdf to my computer and I'm at the point where I have to install my kit using the mini usb to usb cable. I am able to physically connect them but nothing pops up to start the install. I don't know what to do. I am at 3.3.

  • Hello Spandan,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you check the Device Manager? We recently repackaged the software installer and you may not need to do anything to install the drivers. The EVM should enumerate as "ADS1x9x ECG Recorder".

    Regards,

  • So I cant find "ADS1x9x ECG Recorder" in my device manager but I am able to open this (see attached screenshot). Is this okay?

  • Hello,

Please share a screen capture of the Device Manager with the GUI closed and the EVM plugged in. If the EVM does not enumerate properly, the GUI will not be able to communicate with it.

You may have to force the driver to install if it didn't do it automatically, right-click on the device in Device Manager (it will probably say Unknown Device) and select Update Driver Software. Then, manually point to the following folder: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\ADS1x9xevm\USB Drivers".

    Regards,

  • Hi Ryan! Thanks for your prompt reply. I am attacing two screenshots of my device manager and the usb port through which my pdk is connected is called "USB Port (COM 4)".
