Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS9234R
HI Team,
Do we have 4ch/8ch simultaneous sampling ADC(>1MSPS)? I see the ADS7253 only have dual simultaneous sampling. But we need more simultaneous sampling channels. Thanks.

Hello Hollis,
Thank you for your post.
How many simultaneous sampling channels do you require and how many total do you need to measure?
We won't be able to find a SAR ADC device with 4 or more simultaneous sampling channels. It is possible to synchronize multiple devices together, for example 2 or 4 ADS7253s.
If delta-sigma architecture is an option, we have many devices which support 4-8 simultaneous channels, but the 16-/24-bit resolution may be overkill.

Hi Ryan,
thanks for reply.
do we have >1MSPS sample rate and delta-sigma architecture devices which support 4-8 simultaneous channels? If yes, please help to recommend. Thanks.
Hi Hollis,
These delta-sigma ADCs which support 4/8 simultaneous sampling channels cannot sample > 1 MSPS. Sorry for the confusion.
If the sampling rate is a fixed requirement, then the customer will need to synchronize multiple SAR ADCs by sharing a common /CS.
To reduce the component count, they can consider a 2-channel simultaneous SAR ADC like the ADS9234R. This device samples up to 3 MSPS with 14-bit resolution. 2-4 devices could then be synchronized together with a common /CS. The data from each device can be read on a single SDO pin (SDOA) or on multiple SDO pins in parallel to reduce SCLK speed. SDO connections could be shared if each device uses it's own /CS.

Ryan
