ADC12DL3200: Noise spectral density / Noise figure / DC input noise standard deviation

Hello E2E,

I'm studying ADC12DL3200.

I want to know what are the three Electrical Characteristics as follow in datasheet Page 18, 22.

Are there all no input? How to analyze them? Thank you!

These values came from the following:

NSD is taken from HSDC Pro GUI in FFT window.

NF is derived from NSD with the formula.

NOISE DC is the St Dev from HSDC Pro GUI in waveform window.

The Appendix A section of HSDC Pro GUI User's Guide explains the FFT calculation. The ADC basics document explains the NF and NSD calculations. These documents can be downloaded from the links below.

Hi Jim,

The NF(Noise Figure) is not mentioned in these two documents.

How to analyze the NF value 21.9 dB in the datasheet ? Isn't it too high?

Is NOISE_DC different from the standard deviation discussed in the DC Histogram in TI training course below?
