DAC81416: power solution for output range +/-20V

I want to use the full output swing of +/-20V from DAC81416. I have found an IC

TPS65131 but this is only between +/-15V. Is there a chip similar to this that can

provide a higher output range? Or is there an appnote power design solution to

provide +/-20V for DAC81416. I'm looking for a solution that can provide around

a watt with +/-20 for Vss and Vcc of the 81416. Thank you so much.

Hi,

what is the input voltage, is it 5V?

There is no single chip solution which can generate +/-22V ( You need min 1.5V headroom for 20V output range).

Can you post these power supply requirements in the DC-DC forum. They will be in a better position to suggest better parts or suitable designs based on the above requirements. I will also try to check this from my side.

The input will be from a LI battery, 3.7v, but yes anything between 3.0 ~ 5v as an input would be great.

Hi John,

with 3V min , I think it will be very inefficient to generate a +/-22V with 1W capability.

Anyway lets see the response from power team.

We can use multiple battery cells, so I guess maybe ~14.4V (4 battery cells) as input and output can be 1/2W to 1W. Thanks.
