DLP3010EVM-LC: 1bit Splash Pattern Artifact Issue

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC

Hello,

I'm trying to display multiple 1 bit splash patterns using DLP3010EVM-LC, and find that if I put more than 3 different patterns into the splash image, the pattern being projected may contain serious artifacts.

Now I have 5 patterns, If I put pattern1, pattern2, and pattern3 into the blue channel of the splash image, all of the three patterns being projected look good.

Here is the projected patten1 being captured by a gray scale camera. (The projector is intentionally defocused so that the projected binary pattern looks like a sine pattern)

And If I put all of the 5 patterns into the blue channel of the splash image, the projected patterns become strange. Following is the projected pattern1 with artifacts.

I found this problem similar to what is described in this thread:

Can this be solved? or is it the limitation of the hardware?

Thanks.
