I tried installing Discovery 4100 Explorer version 2 software but I keep running into the following error " Component DDC4100.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered". I've tried the running it as an administrator.
I've looked for DDC4100.ocx in system32 and SysWOW64 but cannot find it. I've also looked in the D4100-GUI-v2.0 folder. I see a folder named "DDC410_ocx" but there is no DDC4100.ocx file in it.
Please assist. I'm using a Windows 11(64 bit) OS.

Thanks for providing us with system information. I have never attempted to run this GUI outside of Windows 7 and Windows 10. The drivers only show Windows 7, 8, and 10 support, however.
My first guess, based off the most common fix to installing the GUI (myself included), was a vcredist problem.
The Discover 4100 Explorer GUI is 32-bit and requires the 2010 vcredist_x86.exe from Microsoft. This is not dependent on your OS's bit-level--just the program's, which is 32-bit.
To ensure nothing breaks, please completely remove/uninstall Discovery 4100 Explorer from your computer and reinstall it after you have the 2010 vcredist_x86.exe executable from Microsoft.
