DLP2000: Powering DLP2000EVM using a portable power bank

Part Number: DLP2000

Tool/software:

Hi.

I understand that DLP2000EVM typically receives power through a 5V 3A power jack.

Currently, I am integrating the DLP2000EVM with a Raspberry Pi to build a robot, and I would like to use a power bank to supply power.

Specifically, I am considering using a power bank that supports 5V 3A and connecting it to the DLP2000EVM via a USB to DC cable.

Could you please confirm if this method of power supply is feasible for the DLP2000EVM? Or if there are any other recommended methods for supplying power in this setup, I would appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you for your assistance.

  • Hello User,

Welcome to the E2E forums and thank you for your interest in DLP Technology. We hope to assist you with your questions.

This should be feasible as long as you pick a power bank with the 5V/3A rating but you will need to validate this yourself as we have not tested this setup as normally our EVM's are powered through a wall supply.

You will also need to consider a lage enough size power bank for your application to supply enough power for the duration of use.

    Regards,
