DLPC120-Q1: Clock frequency, FLASH_SCLK

Part Number: DLPC120-Q1

Tool/software:

if the SPI clock between DLP and FLASH needs to enable the spread frequency function, which SPI instruction is used, thank you

  • Hi Bruce,

I will be able to assist you better around Tuesday when I return to the office. I will be out of office until then.

Have you checked the DLPC120 Programmer's Guide yet?

    Regards,
    Michael Ly

  • Yes, we have checked whether we have found this instruction, please help to confirm it. In addition, we need an ESD problem now, that is, during 6KV test, the backlight part will blink, and the test shows that the waveform display of CNTRL_OUT, LED_R_EN, LEGR_EN and LED_B_EN will become low when the backlight flashes. Do you have any suggestions?

  • Hi Bruce,

Sorry for the delay. I'm catching up on emails while I was out of office and will have an initial response for you tomorrow.

    Thank you for your patience,
    Michael Ly

  • Bruce,

Yes, we have checked whether we have found this instruction, please help to confirm it

I took some time to look at DLPC120 Control Program and was able to get and set the registers for spread spectrum.

In control program, I went to Utilities -> Communication -> ASIC Registers, and then I was able to use register read/write to input data into the correct addresses.

In addition, we need an ESD problem now, that is, during 6KV test, the backlight part will blink, and the test shows that the waveform display of CNTRL_OUT, LED_R_EN, LEGR_EN and LED_B_EN will become low when the backlight flashes.

Could you send a video of this so that I can understand? I am not entirely sure what you mean here. Do you have a screenshot you could share of the waveform as well? Please label the signals and let me know what signal  you are triggering on.

    Regards,
    Michael Ly

  • Hi again Bruce,

Just checking in for an update. Were you able to capture the phenomena, and do you still require help?

    Thank you,
    Michael Ly

  • Hi again Bruce,

Checking in one more time to see if you have any updates?

    Regards,
    Michael Ly

  • Bruce,

I am closing this thread because there have not been any updates. If you need this opened back up, you may reply in the next 14 days or create a new thread.

To restate the answer to your original question of which command is used to enable spread spectrum, please see my post above. The opcode used can be seen in section 3.-4. The user interfaces through an SPI port that connects to the Piccolo MCU,  which then communicates with the DLPC120 through I2C.

Here is a link to the Piccolo User's Guide for DLP3030Q1EVM, for example.

    Thank you and regards,
    Michael Ly
