Hi, In the ISSUE https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp/f/94/t/869696

it said: "  the INI file and reattaching the INI with the FW to check if you are able to improve the linearity. "

Where is the "INI" file? how can I modify it? This ISSUE  also happened in DLP4710 product.

  • Hello WD,

We are looking into this.  The INI file is likely in the project.  Please allow a day or two.

  • Hello WD,

Could you share what you are seeing here and also how you are testing it?

This ISSUE  also happened in DLP4710 product.

Is there a certain mode that's being used?

  • The "Non-linearity of image grabbed" ISSUE is the same  as that topic said, which is happened in DLP4710 EVM project.  This problem is caused by LED ENABLE DISABLE Strobe delays

However, there has no API to modify the LED strobe dalay paremeters in DLP4710 project. Any new picture should I add or should I swich this topic to DLP4710 part number?

  • Hello again WD,

Let me discuss this with Aaron and get back to you.  It may take a couple of days.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Hello WD,

For the DLP4500 you should do as expected and change the .ini file within the DLPC350PROM download for the below settings:

    DEFAULT.RED_STROBE.RDELAY 0xBB ; <187>
    DEFAULT.RED_STROBE.FDELAY 0xBB ; <187>
    DEFAULT.GRN_STROBE.RDELAY 0xBB ; <187>
    DEFAULT.GRN_STROBE.FDELAY 0xBB ; <187>
    DEFAULT.BLU_STROBE.RDELAY 0xBB ; <187>
    DEFAULT.BLU_STROBE.FDELAY 0xBB ; <187>

The topic of this thread was pertaining to the DLP4500, if you want information on the DLP4710 this is a different question.

You've said you see the same non-linearity issue on DLP4710, which mode are you seeing this in? The DLPC3479 (DLP4710EVM-LC) doesn't utilize the same LED driver solution as the DLPC350 and rising/falling edge delays are not controllable. This is likely not a direct apples-apples comparison here.

    Best,

    Aaron
