Hi,
I am working on a project involving the DLP NIRscan EVM and the device's DMD has recently started displaying incorrectly.
For reference since I can't get my camera into the kit to take my own photos, the issue appears identical to this post: https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp__mems_micro-electro-mechanical_systems/f/924/t/329516
It seems as though the DMD's mirrors are not all moving to the correct tilt angles. When I perform scans all the mirrors still change for each given pattern however the mirrors in the small band as seen in the pictures of the above post appear to almost be doing the opposite of what they should be (like its treating 1's as 0's and vice versa).
When power is removed from the device the mirrors appear to move to their parked state however the difference in the column band is still visible.
The device has been working fine for months before now, I have flashed both the DLPC350 firmware and the NIRscan EVM firmware with no success which leads to me thinking it is a hardware fault. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the circuit board that connects the DMD to the Spectro board of the device also with no success.
Could this mean that the problem is with the DMD itself and is there any way to fix that? It is as if the mirrors of the DMD just need a hard reset.
Thanks for any help,
Ben
