Hi,
How can I increase the frame rate for the projector to 120Hz?
Dear Nadine,
We are looking for new DLP device in our laboratory and we cannot decide which device suits best for us. The 4500 evm has external trigger and a pixel accurate mode option but the characteristics of 4710 evm gen2 optical device could be more useful for our application (Min. Focus Range = 40 inch, Min. Image Diagonal Size = 10 inch, Typical Brightness = 600 lum).
Therefore I have some questions about 4710 evm - gen2 module. Does this new module G2 have any triggers for external synchronization with the camera? I found that the old module 4710 was without option for external synchronization:

I am also interested for a pixel accurate mode option – is there any change in G2? Again I found that the old module didn’t have this option:

My finial question is about the optical engine. Is it possible to use the optical engine from 4710 evm – gen2 in the lc 4500 evm?
Best regards
Matic
Hello Matic,
The DLP Display LightCrafter 4710 EVM is for display applications. To achieve the best image quality we are doing video processing therefore we are not pixel accurate.
We have a camera trigger for external synchronization on one of the DLP LightCrafter Display 4710 EVM-G2 testpoints.
The optical engine contains the DLP4710 which can not be used with the LightCrafter 4500 chipset.
Best regards,
Nadine
Dear Nadine,
I have a questions about dimensions of DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2.
Best regards
Blaz
Hello Blaz,
Thank you for your interest in our DLP Technology.
All necessary info for the DLPDLCR4710EVM-G2 can be found on our TI-Design under following link:
The mechanical folder will include a mechanical drawing with the EVM dimensions.
Thanks,
Nadine
Hello Blaz,
We don't have a CAD model for the DLPDLCR2010EVM. I can send you the mechanical drawing for the mechanical parts.
Can you please provide an email address or send me a private message with your email address ?
Thanks,
Nadine
Hello Blaz,
You should have received a link to donwload the mechanical file for the DLP LightCrafter Display 2010 EVM. The optical engine size can be found in the EVM User's Guide. The board size can be found in the fab drawing in the gerber folder of the layout.
Thanks,
Nadine
