DLP4500NIR: Controlling the refresh rate of video mode operation

Part Number: DLP4500NIR
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500, DLPC350

Hallo everybody,

I would work around 850nm using a monochromatic light source and i understand that the right chip for my application is just DLP4500NIR since that DLP4500 has some limitations in this IR wavelength (mayby a visible coating on the window). Do you know exactly wich others item (apart from this DLP4500NIR) should i bay to make it work properly (configuration and support firmware, portble light steering, digital controller,...)?

I would be grateful to you as I urgently need to buy the system for my scientific application.

thanks in advance.

Paolo

  • Paolo,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

The DLP4500NIR DMD needs to be accompanied by the DLPC350 controller as part of a full DLP system. To faciliate design of a system using these components, we have provide the DLP NIRscan EVM, which implements this chipset in a complete system:
    www.ti.com/.../DLPNIRSCANEVM

We also have provided all of the design reference materials to allow you to recreate this system yourself, or to create a custom design with this reference as a base:

Please let me know if you have any difficulty understanding these reference materials. I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
