Hello,

I just need some clarification on triggering my DLP using an external source. If I put a jumper over J19 pin 1-2 for using 3.3V, I wouldn't need a voltage supply for J20 through pin 1, right?

Also, I don't quite understand this statement in the EVM manual: "The trigger inputs on J20 are inputs from external devices to control the pattern sequence. While trigger input 2 is high, trigger input 1 will advance the pattern sequence to the next pattern in the sequence on every pulse". If I am only using trigger input 1, why do I need to keep trigger input 2 high?

Trigger input 2 is needed if you want to start pattern sequence using hardware signal.
You don't need trigger input 2 (no need to keep it high) if you start patterns from software.

Hi Jongwan,

You need to provide correct voltage on J20.4 (must be > 1.2V). There is a jumper J20 for this.
Reason for providing Vcc pin is to translate levels in case external input is at different levels than controller.
If you are doing custom schematics and external trigger voltage levels are same as controller than you can directly connect external triggers to controller pins.
