DLPDLCR2000EVM: I2C commands to use with NXP HALO

Hello Renuka,

I am personally unfamiliar with the NXP HALO board. Could you send a link to it for us to take a look at? The DLPDLCR2000EVM should be able to handle any front end as long as the parallel video input meets the required specifications of the DLPC2607 (the controller on the EVM). You can also find the I2C commands in the DLPC2607 programmer's guide at www.ti.com/.../dlpu013.pdf

Are you designing your own board with the DLPC3433? Or are you using our EVM? Either way, you could find a way to hookup the parallel interfaces.

I am using DLPDLCP2000 EVM it self. I am preparing interface to map with RGB lines to EVM P1,P2 connector.

My whole idea is to implement a HUD demo. Instead of displaying my image on LCD, replace it with a projector.

Below is my ECM connector goes to my LCD usually. But now instead of my LCD from that TFT connector , connect EVM in that place and sending my image data to projector instead of sending it to LCD.

As long as your TFT using RGB888 DPI interface for connectivity, you should be OK. What is the part number for this TFT?

I am going to use one adapter from my TFT to EVM's P1 and P2. Attached is the mapping for the same. Let me know if anything is missing in mapping.

I would like to know the exact I2c instruction set to be used.

Hi Philippe,

As I shared TFT connector screen shot earlier in the above mail chain, It is SPI based RGB TFT got from truly supplier. You can even find out the pin outs of my TFT from the above mail.

As I asked earlier , Can you share I2C sample code and needful instruction set to be used.

We do have I2C sample code for this EVM, but said sample code is only compatible with the Beaglebone Black (not the NXP Halo):

I recommend you review the DLPC2607 programmer's guide for information on how to talk to the EVM over I2C:

From the HUD connector excel file you provided, it looks like you are trying to use the TFT lines intended for SPI communication (P39, P40) with the I2C lines of the EVM. Unless you can reconfigure the NXP Halo, I don't believe this will work with reconfiguring these lines for I2C first.
