DLPNIRNANOEVM: inquiry of DLPNIRNANOEVM

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP2010NIR, DLPC150

if I buy the DLP2010NIR's evaluation module (the one with the spectrometer inside), am I able to remove the spectrometer from the module, or remove the light source with a light beam from a source of our own (a light beam coming outside of the module)? And I also noticed that the DMD board is controlled by the DMD controller, so are there separable? I could buy extension cables, but just wondering if there is any physical attachment between these two, so that they are not separable?

  • Haoran,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

What specifications are you looking at regarding the connection between the DMD and controller? We typically have a max length that is supported in such designs.

Will loop in the team concerning the feasibility of these modifications.

    Regards,

    Philippe Dollo

  • Hi Haoran,

The DLPC150 board is connected to the DMD board through a connector. These two boards can be separated. However, if you are planning to connect an extension cable between these two boards, signal integrity issues may come up depending on the length/type of the cable. Regarding the optical module design, please check the 3D Design files and board schematics available on the NIRScan Nano Reference Design page.

  • Thank you for the info. I was also wondering if there is a separate software available to control the DMD, since I won't be using the spectrometer. It seems that the software provided is a GUI for the spectrometer. Wondering if there will be a separate software available only for controlling the DMD for producing different patterns?
