TMS320C6678: How to Use 6678 eth0 and eth1 with different MAC simultaneously

HI:

I don't ping eth0 and eth1 simultaneously in accordance with the John's code. They are always Packet loss. Can you help me? Thanks very much .

Hi,

Which Processor sdk are you using? Do you run the NIMU driver on one core for eth0 and on another core for eth1, as eric suggests here:

Hi,

I couldn't see a verified code about this in the linked thread. Anyway, I suggest you test Eric's method as stated in the link above.. use different cores for the ethX ports.

In your project you use:

vectId = PLATFORM_AMC_INTERRUPT;
Not sure if these are defined in the NDK. In the Code Changes to NIMU and explanation document, you attached the above fragment looks like:
else
{
eventId = PLATFORM_ETH_EVENTID + 1;

/* Pick a interrupt vector id to use */
vectId = PLATFORM_ETH_INTERRUPT + 1 ;

It seems like your project has the interrupts configured wrong, and maybe this is the reason you get a packet loss.

Hi,

We don't have official two MAC ports support in NIMU driver for C6678. There are some E2E discussions, code example and documentation as you posted. No matter you use MCSDK (already obsolete) or Processor SDK, the NIMU driver only supports one MAC port and we tested in the TI C6678 EVM with the RJ-45 connector. The other port needs AMC connection and we didn't have code to test that.

In your customized board, please make sure the original NIMU driver worked first for one port, that is you don't have any packet loss. Then you modify the driver to add the second port support. Can you make sure you just test the second port (without using the first port) to make sure there is no packet loss?
