SN75115: NS Package Dimension Question

Part Number: SN75115

The DS shows the NS package dimensions, but the visual example is a 14-pin version showing pin-pitch is 1.27mm, and the "length" dimension (A) is 10.50mm.

I am a little confused and just want to confirm, but on the same page, it lists the 16-pin device as having the same "A" length of 10.50mm.

For other pin counts, the A length is different...so what I want to know is if the pin-pitch is 1.27mm for both 14-pin and 16-pin options, and the package "A" dimension really is 10.50mm for both.

If so, then I guess there is some "extra mold material padding" for the 14-pin option?

  • Hi Darren,

The 14 pin and 16 pin NS chips have the same exact length and pin pitch. You are correct in your assumption, the 14 pin version has extra padding on the edge of the final pins.

    Just for a visual:

These aren't TI parts just generic SOP (NS) packages.

    Best,

    Chris
