Need help to select single cell stand alone Li-ion / Li-Po battery charger with 4A charging current .

I need to select stand alone Li-ion / Li-Po battery charger . Specifications are given below :

1. Charging current : 5A or above

2. System voltage /current requirement : current : 6A or above ; Voltage V : 3.6V to 4.8V

3. Integrated MOSFETs : Yes , required.

4. Power Path Selector : Yes , required.

5. Adapter input : DC wall adapter or USB VBUS ( no data lines) with 7A current

6. Standalone charger : Yes , stand alone .

7. Battery chemistry : Li-ion or Li-Po

8. Multi power path : Yes.

9.No.of battery cells : 1 cell

Let me know what we will be system voltage :

1. with Adapter input =12V ??

2. with Adapter input =5V ??

HI,

The schematic you show is of a charger (BQ246xx family) with direct powerpath, meaning VSYS=input voltage source when input source attached or V(BAT) when not. Also that charger has external power FETs not internal power FETs. If the closest fit to your requirements for standalone charger at your power level. You could add a dc/dc buck converter at the SYS output in order to get your regulated SYS voltage.

If you need the SYS to be regulated lower than the input voltage, you want a charger with NVDC powerpath. The BQ25792, 5-A charger is the closest fit with internal FETs but it requires a host with I2C to set the I2C registers.
