DP83848-EP: Hardware Configuration Latch-In Time

Part Number: DP83848-EP

The datasheet for DP83848-EP specifies in Table 4.7.1 that the IC requires a minimum Hardware Configuration Latch-In Time from Power Up of 167msec

Is this value true across the entire operating temperature range (-55°C to +125°C) and for the various modes of operation (MII, RMII, 10/100Mbps, etc.) ?

Also, are there any App Notes that can be shared with us, that give a brief description of the configuration activities that take place in the 167msec duration ?

  • Hi Tanay,

The Hardware Configuration Latch-In Time from Power Up being 167msec is true across all temperatures and for all modes of operation.

The 167msec is the time it takes to complete all the power up routines. Do you have a concern with the device or your application that will be addressed if provided more details on the routines?

    Regards,
