DS90UB954-Q1: Virtual channel mapping.

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hello Team,

I got a question from customer.

In below schematic, the order of CSI-2 output packet is A1,B1,A2,B2,A3,B3,A4,B4.

Can we program it as other order?

For example,

A1,A2,A3,A4,B1,B2,B3,B4

A1,A2,B1,B2,A3,A4,B3,B4

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hello Yuta,

The figure that you included illustrates how CSI-2 packets are aggregated, using the Round Robin forwarding mode. This mode is the most straight-forward. Packets are taken from each sensor in turn and aggregated at the output. Figure 26 shows an example of when similar sensors with the same resolution are used, and thus the output is neatly arranged in an alternating pattern. The next figure in the 954 datasheet (Figure 28) shows how Round Robin aggregates data when the input sensors have different resolutions and frame sizes.

In this mode, you are not able to set another order.

    Best,

    Justin Phan
