DS26C32AT: Tolerance at power off operation

Part Number: DS26C32AT

Hi team,

Could you give me comment on following customer question?

Q1. Will the device be broken when the signal will go into the input pins during power off state (Vcc=0V)?

The transmitting device is DS26C31, which is in normal operation state  (Vcc= power on).

Best regards,

Takeshi Sasaki

  • Hi Takeshi,

As long as you operate within the Absolute Maximum ratings of the device you can't do any permanent damage to the device. While the device is unpowered you can apply a voltage to the input pins. I would recommend disabling the device and enabling it once it has been powered on.

If this answered your question don't forget to hit the button. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best,

    Chris
