SN75DP130: can I cascade the SN75DP130 after TUSB1064 for longer distance?

hi,

My customer use TUSB1064 for type C alternate mode.

for display port, they only need 5.4G. But the distance between TUSB1064 and scalar is more than 32cm.

They are afraid that the signal quality for DP.

Can they put SN75DP130 after TUSB1064 to enhance the signal quality?

By the way, they also use 10G Usb3 hub.

Instead DP130, I would look at using the DP141 or DP142. But why not move the TUSB1064 closer to the Scalar and utilize the TUSB1064 RX equalizer as much as possible?

DP130 has link training. there is no conflict with TUSB564, right?

due to they only need 5.4GHz on DP, USB3 needs to be 10GHz. so, Usb 3 is more sensitive. They are afraid that it makes USB 3 worse.

Please refer to this app note on how to design the DP130 in the sink side, https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla349/slla349.pdf.

Both DP141 and DP142 can support 5.4GHz, and may be a better fit for the sink side application than the DP130.
