DS100DF410EVK: DS100DF410EVK and USB2ANY EVK

Part Number: DS100DF410EVK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, DS100DF410

HI,

i'm using the USB2ANY EVK to connect the DS100DF410EVK, but the DS100DF410 GUI says "There are no USB2ANY interfaces detected", just want to make sure if i need to config the USB2ANY in the USB2ANY GUI? like click I2C in the Select interfaces? And is there any requirement about the USB2ANY FW version?

Thanks.

BR

  • Hello Mason,

If you are using the device in I2C mode, you should select I2C in the select interfaces.

There is no requirement for the USB2ANY FW version.

For the connection between a USB2ANY and a DS100DF410EVK, the first step is to connect the EVK board's SDA, SCL, and GND header pins (on pin J86) with jumper wires to the SDA (J4-1), SCL (J4-2), and GND (J4-5) header pins on the USB2ANY device. Then, a jumper is required on the SMBus Mode header in the Slave position for proper operation. If the header is installed, the SMBus mode indicator LED should light up green.

If the hardware is setup correctly, the next step would be to verify the USB2ANY device is being connected to your computer. On the USB2ANY explorer, select open device and a serial number should appear in the top of the GUI.

Finally, the last check to ensure the USB2ANY is connected to the GUI is to ensure the slave address in the GUI (shown below) matches the switch settings on the DS100DF410EVK. The default address is 0x30, which would mean all the switches on the DS100DF410EVK are in the off position.
