TPS25750: Program EEPROM using TPS25750EVM

Hi team,

Customer want to use TPS25750 EVM program the EEPROM on their board using GUI. Their configure is "AlwaysEnableSink" mode. Could they remove the EEPROM on our board, and connect the I2C bus to their board point 1 SCL and point 2 SDA, and use GUI to program directly? Is there any timing sequence that need to be noted? Hope you could share some comments.

This is a supported feature. It is documented in the TPS25750 Host Interface Technical Reference Manual. It is described as the Patch Bundle Mode.

I mean could they use wire connect TPS25750 I2C bus to their board I2C bus(in their schematic point 1 SCL, point2 SDA) and use TPS25750 configuration GUI to program their EEPROM?

Will,

They could remove the EERPOM from the EVM and connect 3 wires from the EVM to their system. They will have to connect the grounds of the 2 boards, and connect the SCL and SDA lines from the EERPOM connections of the EVM to EEPROM or headers on their board.

I do not recommend this process because there is no IEC ESD protection for the EVM and it is very likely that damage to the MCU on the EVM will occur.

This is a much better solution.
