DP83TD510E: Multi drop function and Can be controlled with UART

Hi team,

Our customer is considering IEEE802.3.CG devices and they are interested in DP83TD510E.

IEEE802.3.CG can apply to multi drop function. Can DP83TD510E apply to it as well ?
Considering the MCU in their existing system, they would like to use UART not RMII to connect DP83TD510E. Can MCU control it with UART ? Or Can MCU control 2 IEEE802.3.CG devices with one RMII port ?

Hi Michiaki,

DP83TD510E does not have the hardware to support incoming data in UART format. The 510 uses MDIO/MDC interface for register communication (the controlling part).
