Hi TI Team,
For our space project, we are planning on using two DS16F95QML transceivers to realize full-duplex RS485 over 2 A/B pairs:
- one in a "receiver only" mode (DE/RE_N tied to ground)
- the other one in a "transmitter only" setup (DE/RE_N tied to our FPGA tx_en line)
The reason being that there are no space grade single channel RS485 transmitter or receiver, only 4 channels ones.
Should the driver input (DI) of the "receiver" be pulled down?
Similarly, should the receiver output (RO) of the "transmitter" be pulled down?
