We used 947+948 as serdes. And use dual lane transmission. (STP) We tried to let one of signal pair N short to GND and we found the pattern could operate normally. We could expect the result because the signal is differential pair and the eye diagram may be worse when we did the action, but not too worse to output pattern.
We expect that MAP could improve the result. May you help do the experiment for us? Thanks.
1. Normal operation and use MAP tool to check eye diagram.
2. Abnormal operation. And one of signal pair P or N short to GND and use MAP tool to check eye diagram.
