DP83869HM: Could you propose recommend device?

Part Number: DP83869HM

Hi team.

Our customer is looking for Ethernet PHY device for router that much follow condition.

・1Gbit Ethernet single PHY

・SGMII to Fiber(SFP : 1000BASE-X)

We plan to propose DP83869HM. Is this right?

If you recommend other device, could you let we know?

    Thank you for your reply.

    I proposed this device for the customer. And I was asked a follow question.

    In datasheet p22, this device is seemed to have mulch function "Fiber Ethernet PMD Connections Or SGMII Connections".

    Does  this means that this device has to select pin function Fiber or SGMII ?

    The customer wants to connection between SGMII and Fiber.

    If we want to configure connection SGMII to Fiber, do we need to use two DP83869HM like follow?

     SGMII ⇔ DP83869HM ⇔ RGMII ⇔ DP83869HM ⇔ Fiber

    Please let me know some recommend method.

    Hi Teritama,

    Yes, that is the correct setup. And, please reference the strap section in the datasheet to answer the questions for mode selection.
